Dr. Guang Tao FEI, Professor, Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Guang Tao FEI was selected as a “Hundred Talents Program” researcher of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004, and was rated as "excellent" in the final evaluation of “Hundred Talents Program” in 2009.
Up till now, Dr. Guang Tao FEI has published more than 90 SCI papers in the international journals, including published in J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Scientific Reports, Phys. Rev. B, Appl. Phys. Lett., Europhysics Letters, J. Appl. Phys., Chem. Commun., J. Mater. Chem., Nanotechnology etc. Dr. Guang Tao FEI has applied 27 patents, and 13 items of them has been authorized.
Dr. Guang Tao FEI won the first class prize of science and technology awards of Anhui province in 2011 (first person), the excellent paper of the sixth natural science academic paper of Anhui province (one for first class and several for the second class).
Dr. Guang Tao FEI has taken charge of and is taking charge of 2 subjects of 973 Project from Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, 6 projects from National Nature Science Foundation of China, and 1 project from Bureau of Science and technology, Anhui province.
Up till now, there are 33 students for M.S. and Ph.D. graduated.

Research interests
Main interests are nanostructured materials. The research currently emphasis focuses on: the fabrication and properties study on the ordered array of nanostructure; phase transition and melting properties of nanoscaled metal inclusions embedded in continuous matrix; the thermal expansion properties of metal nanowires and their size dependence; photonic bandgaps of porous alumina membrane and their applications; the tunable and predetermined bandgap emissions of ZnSSe alloyed nanowires; fabrication of superlattice nanowire arrays.
