Research interests Pressure, as a viable thermodynamic variable, could tune the physical properties of condensed matter in a clean and finely controllable fashion. We focus on the pressure-induced emergence of exotic quantum states of matter, especially superconductivity via application of external pressure in diamond anvil cell. The systems in which we are interested include but not limited to charge-density-wave materials, transition metal dichalcogenides, topological insulators and topological semimetals.
Opportunities Students and postdocs with strong background in condensed matter physics, materials physics are highly welcome to join us.
