Dr. Yong Yang, research professor of the Institute of Solid State Physics
(ISSP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received a PhD in
condensed matter physics from the Graduate School of CAS/Institute of
Physics, CAS in 2007. Before joining the ISSP of CAS as a research
professor, he conducted postdoctoral researches at Tohoku University and
the National Institute for Materials Science at Japan.
I am interested in the dynamical processes of atoms and molecules at the
surfaces/interfaces, and the structural and electronic properties of solid
state materials under extreme conditions (e.g., high pressure, high/low
temperatures). Investigation methods are based on first-principles
simulations and statistical mechanics.
