6th International Conference on Advanced Nanoparticle Generation & Excitation by Lasers in Liquids

International Conference on Advanced Nanoparticles Generation & Excitation by Lasers in Liquids have been jointly initiated by many international research organizations to unify studying targets of researchers all over the world and improve development and application of laser fabrication in liquids technique. The conference had already been held for five times (Engelberg/CH (2010), Taormina/IT (2012), Matsuyama/JP (2014), Essen/DE (2016), and Lyon/FR (2018)). The sixth conference will be organized by Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The venue city is chosen as Hefei and conference date is appointed at 24 - 28 May 2020. It will be the first time for China to hold such conference.

The purpose of the conference is to provide a forum for discussing open questions related to laser fabrication in liquids including laser ablation in liquids, laser melting in liquids and laser fragmentation in liquids. The conference will aim at introducing the latest researches about the novel discovery of basic principles, fabrication process, expanded techniques and methodology, further applications, and so on. Future discussions and proposals will support guidance for further researches via laser fabrication in liquids technique and development of the technique itself.

Topics include, but are not limited to
1. Modelling and fundamentals of laser-based nanomaterial generation in liquids, including laser ablation in liquid of a solid target (LAL), laser melting in liquid (LML), and laser fragmentation in liquid (LFL).
2. In-situ characterization of the processes (imaging, plasma spectroscopy, SAXS, optical scattering and absorption etc.)
3. Metal, carbon, semiconductor, and organic nanoparticles
4. Nano-alloys, core-shell particles, nano-composites
5. Nano-hybrids, conjugation with organic molecules and biomolecules
6. Applications to biomedicine, pharma and health, catalyst, photonics, sensor, and more
7. Nanoparticle productivity/scale-up
