Eugene Gregoryanz, "A Thousand Talent Program" member in Institute of Solid State Physics (ISSP), has won the First Hefei Friendship Award unanimously. The award ceremony was held on April 8th, 2016. Hefei Friendship Award is the award to commend foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to Hefei's economic and social progress. This year, totally 10 foreign experts from 7 countries won the award.
As one of the key person of Center for Energy Matter in Extreme Environments (CEMEE) of ISSP, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Gregoryanz pursues his career at ISSP since 2014. With his great help, CEMEE research team made several achievements in high pressure researches related to hydrogen elements. ¡°It is my great pleasure.¡± said by Prof. Gregoryanz, when he heard the good news.
After 3 years construction, CEMEE as the important part of ISSP has completed an experimental platform to study energy matter at extreme conditions. The achievements have been published in the top international academic journals, such as SCIENCE, NATURE, PRL, etc. In the future, the research platform will make CEMEE to become a world class research center for quantum and energy matter at extreme conditions.
